The University of Arkansas Housing Growth Study synthesizes the collective expertise of a diverse consultant team, University Housing, Facilities Management, and Student Life, all dedicated to enhancing the health and wellness of University of Arkansas students and supporting the institution’s sustained growth. Engaging extensively with students and University leadership, the study aligns demographic trends with University aspirations and sustainable development goals. It recommends constructing a series of strategically located new dorms with limited amenities to facilitate the comprehensive rehabilitation of existing housing on campus. This approach aims to accommodate the entire freshman class and others on campus, foster the thoughtful evolution of campus form, particularly in the Maple Hill area, and enrich the overall student experience.
