For Seattle Design Fest 2024, we were asked "What if?: What does the future of Seattle look like? How can design help our communities thrive? What if we see the city from difference perspectives?" The El Dorado team developed an interactive installation where festival goers wrote down how they were feeling that day, put the message into a capsule, and sent it through the structure. These thoughts traveled through the structure, randomizing them as they went. On the other side of the installation, you received someone else's message. Messages captured individual versions of Seattle and sought to build empathy among strangers. Some festival goers left with an unexpected dinner plans while others gathered a unique perspective on their own neighborhood.
